Ferrochromium (FeCr) is an iron alloy of chromium and iron, containing 50% to 70% chromium. Ferro chrome is produced by arc smelting chromite, an iron-magnesium-chromium oxide, and most importantly chromium ore. It can be divided into charge ferrochrome, carbon iron chromium, low carbon iron chromium and micro carbon iron chromium.

 

application:

1. Low carbon ferrochrome is mainly used to produce stainless steel, acid-resistant steel and heat-resistant steel.
2. FeCr is mainly used as a steel-making alloy additive and is added after steel-making and refining.
3. Ferrochromium can be used as an alloying agent to improve the hardenability of steel and increase the wear resistance and hardness of steel.
4. Ferro Chromium is used as an additive in cast iron to improve the wear resistance and hardness of cast iron.
