What Are The Advantages Of High Carbon Ferrochromium Smelting Stainless Steel?
High carbon ferrochromium is used in tool steel, ball steel and ball steel alloys with relatively high carbon content. It can improve the hardenability of the steel to a certain extent and further increase the wear resistance and hardness of the steel. In addition, when casting iron, high-carbon ferrochromium is used as an additive, which can help improve the hardness and wear resistance of cast iron, thereby improving the heat resistance of cast iron. Furthermore, high-carbon ferrochromium is the main raw material for medium, low and micro-carbon ferrochromium, and the chromium-containing raw material used to produce metallic chromium by electrolysis is also high-carbon ferrochromium.
Nitrided Low Carbon Ferro Chrome
The construction cost of high-carbon ferrochrome is low and it is suitable for the transformation of existing equipment. Compared with the traditional method, due to the increased furnace volume ratio and increased oxygen supply intensity, the Q345CH steel blowing time is controlled within half an hour. In addition, the detachable furnace bottom saves refractory materials and maintenance time, but the cost is higher. There is a large selection of furnace materials, and the more expensive medium and low carbon ferrochrome can be replaced by cheaper high-carbon ferrochrome, and a large amount of carbon scrap steel is used. Appropriately increase the nitrogen content in steel and reduce the use of oxidized iron alloys. Every 0.1 increase in nitrogen content can reduce the nickel content by 2% without affecting the mechanical properties of stainless steel.
