Silicon metal is an industrial silicon material produced from silica and carbonaceous reducing agents in a submerged arc furnace. It is usually supplied in lump form and selected by grade, Si content and Fe, Al, Ca impurity control.

Different silicon metal grades are used for different industrial processes. For aluminum alloy and metallurgical use, you may focus on cost, lump size and regular impurity control. For chemical or silicone material use, you may need stricter Fe, Al and Ca limits. Final grade selection should be confirmed by your application, COA and purchase specification.

Q2: How do I choose the right silicon metal grade?

A:You should choose the grade according to your application, Si content and Fe, Al, Ca impurity limits. For aluminum alloy and metallurgical use, 553, 441 or 421 may be suitable. For stricter chemical or silicone material use, 3303, 2202 or 1101 may be checked.

Q3: What size can you supply for silicon metal lumps?

A:Regular silicon metal lump sizes include 10-50mm, 10-60mm and 10-100mm. Customized size can also be confirmed according to your furnace charging, melting, unloading, storage or packing requirement.

Q4: Can you provide COA for silicon metal?

A:Yes. COA can be supplied before shipment to confirm Si content and Fe, Al, Ca impurity results. We can also provide MTC, MSDS, packing list, invoice, packing photos and loading photos according to your order requirement.

Q5: What is the regular packing for silicon metal?

A:Regular packing is 1MT jumbo bag. Customized export packing, pallet marking, bag marking and packing photos can be confirmed before shipment. If you have special warehouse or unloading requirements, please send them before order confirmation.

Q6: What is the MOQ for silicon metal?

A:The regular MOQ is 20MT. For trial orders or special grade requirements, you can send us the grade, size, quantity and destination port. We will check the available supply plan and confirm whether the order can be arranged.

Q7: Can you quote FOB, CFR or CIF price?

A:Yes. FOB, CFR and CIF quotation can be confirmed according to your destination port, order quantity, grade, size and packing requirement. Please send the target port and required trade term when you request a quotation.
