Niobium Board

Niobium plate is the lightest refractory metal (density 8.57 g/cc) and has a very high melting temperature (2,468°C). This property enables its alloys to provide structural solutions at high temperatures: above 600°C for nickel-based alloys and up to 1300°C for niobium-based alloys.
      Below -264°C, niobium exhibits superconducting properties. It conducts high-density current without current, generates magnetic field and force, and is used in medical diagnosis and materials research and development.

Tantalum and niobium ingots were melted twice using 300kW and 600KW EBM furnaces respectively. Two meltings in an EBM furnace with high vacuum, high current intensity and high power ensure a uniform structure and significantly reduce impurity content.
