Impact of impurities: Too high iron content will reduce the conductivity of semiconductor-grade silicon powder; oxygen content affects the synthesis efficiency of organic silicon monomers.

Chemical stability of metal silicon powder
Corrosion resistance: Stable to dilute acid and alkali at room temperature, but reacts with strong alkali to form silicate at high temperature.
Oxidation resistance: SiO₂ oxide film is easily formed on the surface to prevent further oxidation, but the oxidation rate of fine powder (<10μm) is accelerated.
