The preparation process of metal silicon 2202 mainly includes the following steps:

1. Raw material preparation
Silica: As the main raw material, the silicon dioxide (SiO2) content of silica must meet certain standards, usually requiring SiO2 ≥ 99%, and the impurity content must be low, such as Fe2O3 ≤ 0.15%, Al2O3 < 0.2%, CaO < 0.1%, etc.
Other auxiliary materials: such as silicon coal, low-ash bituminous coal, etc., are used to adjust the performance of the charge and improve the smelting process.

2. Batching and mixing
Weigh the silica, reducing agent and other auxiliary materials in a certain proportion and mix them to ensure that the composition of the charge is uniform, so as to improve the smelting efficiency and product quality.

3. Smelting process
Electric furnace smelting: Put the mixed charge into the submerged arc furnace, and heat it to a high temperature through the electrode, so that the silicon dioxide in the silica is reduced to metal silicon by the reducing agent.
Impurity removal and refining: During the smelting process, air or oxygen is introduced to increase air permeability and further remove impurities. At the same time, a refining process is used to remove impurities in metallic silicon to improve purity.

4. Cooling and crushing
After the smelting is completed, the silicon water flows into the iron ladle from the silicon outlet, and then transferred to the rectangular mold made of refractory materials for air cooling. After cooling, demolding is carried out, and the metallic silicon is crushed to the corresponding particle size with a hammer, and the production of metallic silicon 2202 is completed.
