Production process of metal silicon 3303
The production process of metal silicon mainly includes three main steps: ore dressing, smelting and refining:
Ore dressing: Separate useful minerals from the original ore and remove impurities.
Smelting: The ore obtained by ore dressing is heated and chemically reacted to obtain metal silicon. In this process, silica and carbonaceous reducing agent are smelted in a submerged arc furnace to form metal silicon with a main component silicon content of about 98%.
Refining: Further purify metal silicon through refining to remove impurities. The refining process may include steps such as blowing outside the furnace and slag refining to improve the purity of metal silicon.
