Titanium wire is a silver-white metal with many excellent properties. The density of titanium is 4.54g/cm3, which is 43% lighter than steel and slightly heavier than the famous light metal magnesium. The mechanical strength is about the same as steel, twice as strong as aluminum, and five times stronger than magnesium. Titanium is resistant to high temperatures, with a melting point of 1942K, which is nearly 1000K higher than gold and nearly 500K higher than steel. Titanium Wire Quality Inspection:

1. Low magnification inspection

Wire materials with a diameter of more than 3mm should be inspected at low magnification. There should be no shrinkage, pores, delamination, cracks, metal or non-metallic impurities at low magnification in the transverse direction.

2. Appearance quality

A. The surface of the wire material is generally an alkali-pickled surface. Straight wire not less than 2.0mm can be supplied with a polished surface when requested by the customer and specified in the contract.

B. The surface of the wire material should be clean, free of oxidation, and free of cracks, peeling, thorns, marks, and impurities.

C. The wire surface is allowed to have slight local scratches, abrasions, spots and pits that do not exceed the allowable deviation of the wire diameter.

3. Inspection method

A. The arbitration analysis method of the chemical composition of the product shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T4698.

B. The dimensions of the product should be measured using measuring tools of corresponding accuracy.

C. The room temperature tensile test of wire material is carried out according to GB/T228.

D. The low-magnification inspection of wire materials is carried out according to GB/T5168.

E. The appearance quality of the product is visually inspected.
