High strength: The tensile strength of tungsten wire can reach 3440 MPa (annealed state), and the strength can be further improved after cold working.
Brittleness: Tungsten wire has poor ductility at room temperature and is prone to brittle fracture. It needs to be doped (such as rhenium, thorium) or heat treated to improve processing performance.
Recrystallization temperature: about 1200-1300℃. Above this temperature, grain growth will occur, resulting in a decrease in strength.
