Fe Silicon

Ferro Silicate is a type of iron alloy, an alloy of iron and silicon. It is produced by melting a mixture of iron and silicon in an electric arc furnace. The silicon content in ferrosilicon can typically vary from 15% to 95%, depending on the desired alloy composition.

Product Introduction
Main Concepts Of Ferro Silicon 72

Ferro Silicon 72 is commonly used as a deoxidizer and alloying element in steel and cast iron production. It helps remove oxygen and impurities from the molten metal, improving the overall quality of the final product. It also acts as a strong reducing agent, promoting the formation of stable carbides and preventing the formation of unwanted oxides.

Ferro Silicon 65

Ferro Silicon 65 is used as a source of silicon to reduce metals from oxides and to deoxidize steel and other ferrous alloys. This prevents the loss of carbon in the steel (so-called heat blocking). It is also used in the manufacture of silicon, corrosion-resistant and high-temperature alloys.

What Advantages Does Ferro & Silica Manganese Have?

FeSi Alloy is the most commonly used alloy for post-inoculation treatment of gray and ductile iron.

Main advantages: Deoxidation

1. Increase antioxidant capacity

2. Improve the electrical properties of magnets

3. Improve hardenability

4. Contributes to the graphitization of steel.

What Are The Uses Of Ferro Silicate?

Ferrous Silicon is used as a source of silicon to reduce metals from oxides and to deoxidize steel and other ferrous alloys. This prevents the loss of carbon in the steel; ferrosilicon can be used to make other ferroalloys. It is also used in the manufacture of silicon, corrosion- and high-temperature-resistant iron-silicon alloys, and silicon steel for motor and transformer cores.
In the manufacture of cast iron, Fesi Ferrosilicon is used to inoculate the iron to accelerate graphitization. In arc welding, some electrode coatings contain ferrosilicon.

Ferrosilicon Powder

Ferrosilicon Powder is the basic material for making pre-alloys such as magnesium ferrosilicon (MgFeSi), which is used to produce ductile iron. MgFeSi contains 3-42% magnesium and small amounts of rare earth metals. Ferrosilicon is also important as a cast iron additive to control the initial silicon content.

Magnesium High Carbon Ferro Silicon helps form ductile iron, giving it flexibility. Unlike gray cast iron, which forms graphite flakes, ductile iron contains graphite nodules or pores, which make cracking more difficult.
