Ferrovanadium 40% 10–100mm For Steel Alloy Addition
Product Overview
Ferrovanadium 40% 10–100mm is a vanadium-bearing ferro alloy used for steel alloy addition, vanadium adjustment and regular alloy steel production. With V 40% min, FeV40 provides a more moderate vanadium source compared with higher grades such as FeV60 or FeV80.
You can use FeV40 when your production needs controlled vanadium input but does not require a higher vanadium-grade material. It is suitable for steel plants and alloy producers that need vanadium addition for composition adjustment, strength improvement and alloy grade control.
We supply ferrovanadium 40% in 10–100mm lump size according to furnace feeding and batching requirements. If your plant has fixed limits for V content, C, Si, Al, P, S or particle size, we can match the material according to your purchase standard before shipment.

FeV40 vs Higher Ferrovanadium Grades
FeV40 should be selected according to your actual steel grade and alloying calculation. It is not simply a lower-value alternative to FeV60.
Compared with FeV60, FeV40 provides lower vanadium concentration, so the required addition amount may be higher for the same target V level. This can be acceptable when your formula already uses FeV40 or when the cost structure is more suitable for moderate-grade ferrovanadium.
Compared with FeV80, FeV40 is much less concentrated and is not normally selected when the plant needs minimum addition weight or tighter high-grade alloy control. FeV80 is more suitable for steel grades that require high vanadium input with lower total alloy addition.
Use FeV40 when your process accepts moderate vanadium concentration and cost control matters; compare FeV60 when you need higher V efficiency; review FeV80 when your steel grade requires concentrated vanadium input and lower addition weight.

FAQ
Q: What is Ferrovanadium 40% used for?
A: Ferrovanadium 40% is used for steel alloy addition, vanadium adjustment and regular alloy steel production when the process needs a moderate vanadium-grade alloy.
Q: What is the vanadium content of FeV40?
A: FeV40 usually contains V 40% min. Actual V, C, Si, Al, P and S values should follow the delivered batch data or order standard.
Q: What is the difference between FeV40 and FeV60?
A: FeV60 has higher vanadium concentration than FeV40, so it usually needs a lower addition amount to reach the same V target. FeV40 is more suitable when your process accepts a moderate vanadium-grade alloy.
Q: What size of Ferrovanadium 40% can be supplied?
A: This product is supplied in 10–100mm lump size. Custom size can be discussed according to your furnace feeding or batching requirement.
Q: How is Ferrovanadium 40% packed for export?
A: Steel drum or iron drum packing is commonly used for ferrovanadium. Pallet reinforcement, shipping marks, packing photos and export documents can be arranged according to order requirements.
