FeW80 is an iron alloy containing 75%-85% tungsten, mainly used for steelmaking and alloy additives. The specific composition of ferro-tungsten 80 includes tungsten (W) 75.0%-85.0%, carbon (C) ≤0.20%, phosphorus (P) ≤0.04%, sulfur (S) ≤0.08%, silicon (Si) ≤0.7%, and manganese (Mn) ≤0.25%.
Production process
The production methods of ferro-tungsten mainly include agglomeration method, iron extraction method and out-of-furnace method. The agglomeration method is to reduce wolframite with carbon in an electric furnace; the iron extraction method is to smelt with two electric furnaces to reduce inclusions; the out-of-furnace method uses the heat released by the reduction reaction itself for smelting, which is simple to operate and energy-saving.
