Medium carbon ferromanganese (MC FeMn) is a blast furnace product with a manganese content of 70.0% to 85.0% and a carbon content of 1.0% to 2.0%. Used as a deoxidizer for manufacturing 18-8 austenitic non-magnetic stainless steel, introducing manganese into the steel without increasing the carbon content.
