Pure Tzm Alloy Manufacture
The strengthening mechanism of TZM alloy is: (1) Cold work deformation hardening not only improves the strength of the alloy but also refines the grains, and at the same time produces a tough fibrous microstructure. (2) A small amount of titanium and zirconium elements dissolve in the molybdenum matrix, increasing structural stability and increasing the recrystallization temperature. (3) Dispersion strengthening caused by the reaction between substitutional elements (titanium, zirconium) and interstitial elements (carbon) in the molybdenum matrix to form the precipitation of spherical complex carbide particles, which improves the high-temperature strength and creep resistance of molybdenum. The carbon and titanium contents in TZM alloy have the same critical ratio as Mo-0.5Ti alloy. Prepared by powder metallurgy method.
Molybdenum TZM Alloy manufacture
TZM alloy (High Temperature Alloy) is a solid solution hardening and particle reinforced molybdenum based alloy. The development of a molybdenum-titanium solid solution and excellent dispersion of titanium carbides provides good strength properties at temperatures up to 1400°C. TZM recrystallizes at a temperature of approximately 250°C, higher than molybdenum, which provides better weldability.
