High fixed carbon content, low ash content, low content of harmful impurities such as Al2O3 and P2O5 in ash, good reactivity of coke, high electrical resistivity especially at high temperatures, low volatile matter, appropriate strength and appropriate block size, low and stable moisture content, etc. If the fixed carbon is high, the total amount of coke required is less, and the ash and harmful impurities brought in are relatively less. In this way, there is less slag, low power consumption, and high alloy grade.

3. Ferroalloy coke with higher resistance can increase the resistance of the entire furnace charge, increase the depth of electrode insertion, move the high-temperature zone downwards, expand the reaction zone, reduce the volatilization of reduced elements, improve heat utilization, and reduce power consumption. Ferroalloy coke should have appropriate strength, otherwise it will increase the amount of powder coke, affect the permeability of the furnace material surface, and lead to deterioration of the furnace condition. If the moisture content of ferroalloy coke fluctuates greatly, it is difficult to match the coke amount, resulting in fluctuations in furnace conditions.
