SiC Small Briquettes
Silicon-carbon balls have great advantages in replacing some alloys. The demand for silicon-carbon alloys from steel mills is also increasing, so the prospects for silicon-carbon alloys are very optimistic. Silicon carbon balls are a new type of alloy used in converters and are used in the deoxidation and alloying process of converter smelting.

Silicon balls
Silicon-carbon alloy is a new type of converter alloy that replaces ferrosilicon, silicon carbide and carbon agents and reduces the use of deoxidizers. It is used for process converter deoxidation. The effect is stable and the control quality is better than traditional processes and mechanical property research. The crystal structure of the carbon in the silicon carbon balls is graphite with a crystalline structure. Its dissolution temperature in molten steel is low, with an absorption rate of 95% at 1420°C (the absorption rate of metallurgical coke with an amorphous structure at 1520°C is 70 %), silicon carbon balls have good carburizing effect and strong reducing ability, which alleviates the oxidation loss of alloy elements in steel and improves the alloy recovery rate.

Theoretically, if an iron alloy contains carbon and the carbon content is less than 2.11%, then such an iron alloy is called "steel". If the iron alloy contains carbon and the carbon content is greater than 2.11% (less than 6.69%), then such an iron alloy is called "cast iron".
