Zhenan Introduces To You The Physical And Chemical Properties And Production Methods Of Ferromolybdenum

The density of ferromolybdenum is 9.0-9.5g/cm³, and the melting point is 1750-1980℃. These physical properties make ferromolybdenum have excellent stability and durability in high temperature environments. Ferromolybdenum has good corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, and can maintain stable performance under harsh environmental conditions.

The smelting of ferromolybdenum usually adopts the off-furnace method, using the heat released by the reduction reaction itself to melt the alloy and slag. The main raw material is molybdenite (MoS2), which undergoes a reduction reaction with a reducing agent (such as ferrosilicon, aluminum particles, etc.) at high temperature after oxidation roasting to generate metallic molybdenum and corresponding slag. After cooling and finishing, the ferromolybdenum ingot obtained by smelting can obtain a ferromolybdenum product that meets the requirements.
