medium carbon ferrochrome

MCFeCr is produced by further refining charge chromium. The process occurs when liquid chromium is bottom-blown with oxygen and steam to reduce the carbon content. The silicon content is reduced to less than 1.5% and the carbon content is reduced to less than 2%. MCFeCr is green in color and has a flaky granular appearance.
