The manufacturing of graphite electrodes mainly includes the preparation, mixing, pouring, drying, and processing of raw materials. The manufacturing process of graphite electrodes requires multiple sintering, processing and other processes to obtain finished products that meet production requirements.

1. Preparation of Raw Materials

The main raw material of graphite electrodes is high-quality graphite, and its purity is required to reach more than 99.9%. The raw materials of graphite electrodes also include coke and coal tar of different grades, etc. These raw materials need to be strictly screened and mixed before entering the next process.

2. Mixing

The screened and crushed graphite powder and coke powder are mixed in a certain proportion. The mixed graphite powder and coke powder need to be pressed and heated to form a hard graphite electrode blank.

3. Casting

The graphite electrode blank is cast multiple times. The casting process needs to control the casting speed, casting temperature and other parameters to ensure the quality of the electrode blank. The electrode blank after casting needs to go through drying and sintering processes to obtain a graphite electrode with a certain strength and density.

4. Processing

The sintered graphite electrode needs to be processed, including turning, boring, grinding and other processes. The processing technology needs to be strictly controlled to ensure that the geometry, dimensional accuracy and surface finish of the graphite electrode meet the production requirements.
