ZhenAn High Purity Silicon Carbide Powder
Silicon has two allotropes: amorphous silicon and crystalline silicon. Amorphous silicon is a gray-black powder, which is actually a microcrystal. Crystalline silicon has the crystal structure and semiconductor properties of diamond, with a melting point of 1410°C, a boiling point of 2355°C, a density of 2.32~2.34g/cm3, a Mohs hardness of 7, and a brittle nature. Chemical silicon refers to metallic silicon used in the production of organic silicon and polycrystalline silicon.

Metal Silicon Powder
From a global perspective, the consumption of metallurgical silicon is greater than the consumption of chemical silicon. However, with the continuous development of science and technology, the use of chemical silicon in fields such as organic silicon and semiconductor production continues to expand, and it is widely used in the production of organic silicon. Silicon monomer and polymer silicone oil, silicone rubber, silicone resin building anti-corrosion and waterproofing agents, etc., have unique properties such as high temperature resistance, electrical insulation, radiation resistance, and waterproofing. Used in electrical, aviation, machinery, chemical industry, medicine, national defense, construction and other sectors. As the core electronic components of integrated circuits, more than 95% are made of semiconductor silicon. Semiconductors are the backbone of the contemporary information industry.

Silicon Metal Powder Lab Grade
Amorphous silicon is chemically active and can burn violently in oxygen. It reacts with non-metals such as halogen, nitrogen, and carbon at high temperatures, and can also react with metals such as magnesium, calcium, and iron to form silicides. Amorphous silicon is almost insoluble in all inorganic and organic acids, including hydrofluoric acid, but is soluble in a mixed acid of nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid. Concentrated sodium hydroxide solution can dissolve amorphous silicon and release hydrogen gas. Crystalline silicon is relatively inactive and does not combine with oxygen even at high temperatures. It is also insoluble in any kind of inorganic acid and organic acid, but is soluble in mixed acids of nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid and concentrated sodium hydroxide solution.
