Molybdenum plate is made by rolling molybdenum plate billets, usually with a thickness of 2-30 mm. After being manufactured by different types of rolling mills, the coils provided are called molybdenum strips. Cold-rolled molybdenum plates are rolled in multiple passes at room temperature to make the molybdenum plates reach the required thickness (commonly 0.02-5mm). This processing method can significantly improve the material's strength limit (up to 700-1400MPa) and hardness (HV200-350), while maintaining good ductility (elongation 3-15%). For extremely thin plates with a thickness of less than 0.5mm, an intermediate annealing process is often required to improve formability.
