Low Carbon Ferrochrome (LC FeCr) is an important iron alloy, mainly used in stainless steel production to improve its corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.
Main components: chromium (Cr) and iron (Fe), carbon content is less than 1% (usually 0.03%-0.15%), impurities such as silicon (Si), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S), etc. need to be controlled at extremely low levels.
Common grades: divided into different grades according to chromium content, such as Cr50 (containing about 50% Cr), Cr60, etc.; low carbon grades (such as C≤0.06%) are suitable for high-end stainless steel.
