The manufacturing of molybdenum wire requires multiple precision processes, and the common processes are as follows:
Raw material preparation: Use high-purity molybdenum powder (purity ≥99.95%), and improve the sphericity of the powder through hydrogen reduction or plasma spheroidization technology.
Forming:
Switch method: The molybdenum rod is gradually reduced in diameter through multiple forgings to obtain high-density wire.
Drawing method: The molybdenum billet is cold drawn multiple times, combined with intermediate annealing (1500-1800°C vacuum or hydrogen protection), and the diameter accuracy is controlled to ±0.001mm.
Surface treatment:
Electrolytic polishing: Reduce the surface roughness to Ra≤0.1μm and reduce processing burrs.
Coating technology: Nickel plating, copper plating or coating with graphite layer to improve conductivity or lubricity.
