The difference and characteristic of silicon brick and zero expansion silicon brick
Silica brick refers to acidic silica products with SiO2 content greater than 93%. The properties of silicon brick, including chemical mineral composition, true density, bulk density, refractoriness, load softening temperature, high temperature volume stability, thermal shock resistance and slag resistance, are closely related to many factors such as the properties of raw materials, crystal transformation status and manufacturing process. It is widely used in the vault of coke oven, hot blast furnace, glass kiln, tunnel kiln, shelf brick of various kiln, especially in coke oven (carbonization chamber, combustion chamber, regenerator chamber).

The refractoriness of silicon brick is not very high, but the load softening temperature is high, the high temperature structural strength is large, and the stability is good when used above 600℃ for a long time, and the total volume expansion of about 1.5 to 2.2 percent when heated to 1450℃, this residual expansion will make the cut joint close to ensure that the masonry body has good air tightness and structural strength. At the same time, it has the advantages of long service life and lower energy consumption. Resistant to acid slag erosion. Therefore, it is mainly used for masonry glass melting kilns and coke ovens. The partition wall of the coke oven carbonization chamber laid with silicon brick has good stability and air tightness at high temperature, and the service life can reach 10-15 years, if used properly, it can reach more than 25 years.
