Ferro Silicon Lumps
Parts that are more likely to be irritated:
1. When the furnace condition is sticky, the air permeability of the material surface is poor or the cone is too sharp, ignition often occurs where the electrode is stuck to the sticky material, or where a certain peak of the material surface is weak.
2. When the working end of the electrode is too short, heat is concentrated around the electrode, and ignition occurs mostly at the root of the electrode.

Cause of stinging fire
There are many reasons for stinging fire. There are mainly the following reasons:
1. Although the proportion of ingredients is normal, due to improper operation, such as partial feeding, too fast feeding speed or too sharp shape of the material surface, as well as untimely and incomplete pounding of the furnace, the air permeability of the material surface deteriorates and the gas in the furnace deteriorates. The pressure is relatively large, breaking through the weak material layer and causing ignition.
2. The reducing agent in the ingredients is insufficient, the furnace condition is sticky, and the air permeability is poor, resulting in ignition.

3. The working end of the electrode is too short, and the heat is concentrated around the root of the electrode, and the arc cannot even be buried, causing ignition at the root of the electrode.
4. There is too much reducing agent in the batching ratio, the electrode is inserted shallowly in the charge, or the root of the electrode is stained with silicon carbide (SiC has strong conductivity), causing ignition.
