moly alloy pipe
Molybdenum has the advantages of high melting and boiling points, good high-temperature strength, anti-friction and corrosion resistance, large thermal conductivity, small thermal expansion coefficient, and good hardenability, making it widely used in aerospace, weapons, electronics, glass and other fields. In recent years, my country's annual consumption of molybdenum metal in the glass industry is about 40 tons, and its consumption is still on an upward trend.

Molybdenum is widely used in the production of fiberglass, quartz glass, flat glass and television glass bulbs. The amount of molybdenum used in glass fiber production is relatively large, accounting for about 75% of the total molybdenum used in the glass industry. The annual production of quartz glass in my country requires about 25 molybdenum crucibles and consumes about 6 tons of molybdenum materials; the annual production of glass bulbs requires about 5 tons of molybdenum for molybdenum stirrers. In addition, molybdenum electrodes are also used as heaters in the production of some bottle glass, bulb glass, and thermos bottles.

Molten glass can corrode most metals, but only molybdenum and platinum are resistant to its corrosion. Nowadays, molybdenum or molybdenum alloy containing 30% tungsten is often used instead of platinum as the electrode of glass furnace.
