Emm Manganese
①The MnO content in manganese ore is lower than the FeO content in iron ore, and MnO is more difficult to reduce than FeO. During the smelting process, the amount of slag is large and the recovery rate of manganese is low.

Ferro Silico Manganese
② Since manganese has a stronger affinity for oxygen than iron, higher temperature and greater energy are required to reduce MnO. Therefore, the smelting coke ratio of high-carbon ferromanganese in the blast furnace is much higher than that of pig iron smelting, and the coke load is lighter.
③Due to the high coke ratio and light coke load, the particle size difference between coke and ore is large. The edge air flow is easy to develop, causing gas flow disorder and easy to produce deflection pipes.

High Carbon Ferro Manganese
④ High-carbon ferromanganese blast furnace gas has a large volume and high calorific value, resulting in high furnace top temperature, large dust content in the gas, and difficult purification.
⑤ The furnace lining erodes quickly and the furnace bottom is easy to accumulate, making the furnace lining life shorter than that of the pig iron blast furnace.
The above characteristics determine that the operating system of high carbon ferromanganese blast furnace is different from that of pig iron blast furnace and has its own characteristics.
