Graphite Electrode

 

Graphite electrode is an important electrode material, commonly used in the production process of electrolytic aluminum, copper and other metals. It is made of high-purity graphite material with good conductivity, thermal stability and chemical stability, and is an essential key material in the electrolysis process.

 

 

1. Raw material ratio

The raw materials for manufacturing graphite electrodes are mainly graphite and coke, among which coke is a heat-treated coal coke. When manufacturing graphite electrodes, graphite and coke need to be mixed in a certain proportion, and a certain amount of fine powder and binder need to be added to make the raw materials of graphite electrodes.

.Sintering

After the raw material ratio is adjusted, the raw materials are sintered into graphite electrodes. During the sintering process, factors such as temperature and pressure need to be controlled to ensure the density, strength and conductivity of the graphite electrode.

3. Processing

After sintering, the graphite electrode needs to be processed, including turning, milling, drilling and other processes, to make the electrode shape and size that meet the requirements.

4. Surface treatment

The surface treatment of graphite electrodes is to increase its oxidation resistance and wear resistance. Common surface treatment methods include spraying and coating.
